Recently, Google has largerly restricted a range of permissions that Android apps required users to agree to as a condition of use. Since then, contacts, SMS and call related data are considered to be personal and sensitive user data. In our case, these permissions are crucial for the correct HUDWAY Cast app operation: visualizing incoming calls/messages on the lens of HUDWAY Cast, but at the same time in no way processing them or getting direct access.
To conform to the policy, we need to complete the Permissions Declaration Form and receive approval from Google, which has turned to be a complicated process.
While we are working on approval, we are providing you with temporary solution.
Here you can install the APK-version (please be sure to uninstall the HUDWAY Cast app beforehand, in case you have it installed from Play Market).
Please, note that we provide an in-app disclosure of your data collection and use with the APK-version of HUDWAY Cast app.
The downloaded file should end up in folders with Downloads > tap hudway_cast_debug.apk (the name may vary) > the phone may ask you to allow unknown app to be installed, tap Continue > Install > Open > the native libraries error may show up, tap OK.
Then your connectivity scenario will depend on the model of your smartphone.
