Connecting HUDWAY Cast with Android phone.

This article describes the basic steps for setting up a wireless connection between HUDWAY Cast and different types of Android smartphones.

 

 

Connection to Android phones (ScreenMirror):

  1. Launch HUDWAY Cast.
  2. Press mode button until you see the Android icon and the following text on the lens: Miracast-supporting device.
  3. Head into phone Settings -> tap Additional settings -> turn on wireless display.
  4. Connect to HUDWAY-XXXXX

 

 

Connection to Samsung (Smart View):

  1. Launch HUDWAY Cast.
  2. Press mode button until you see the Android icon and the following text on the lens: Miracast-supporting device.
  3. Head into quick options in the notification shade and tap Smart View to enable it.
  4. Connect to HUDWAY-XXXXX

 

 

Connection to Google Pixel/Nexus (Tethering and portable hotspot):

  1. Launch HUDWAY Cast.
  2. Press mode button until you see the Android icon and the following text on the lens: Device with no Miracast support.
  3. Head into phone Settings and tap Network & internet.

    4. Tap Hotspot & tethering

     5. Tap on Wi-Fi hotspot.

  1. Input a Network name "mycar" and Password “"12344321".
  2. Turn on Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Note! Your phone’s Wi-Fi should be switched off.

  

 

In case, you are using Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus, Meizu or any similar phone, please follow the next steps to be able to display widgets in HUDWAY Cast app.

  1. Head into phone Settings
  2. Open installed apps in the app settings section.
  3. Choose Hudway Cast app.
  4. Tap other permissions
  5. Put a tick allowing displaying pop-up window.
