Wireless connection
As since the HUDWAY Cast 1.2.7 we don't supply wired connection with iOS, which proved to be unstable, when you connect your phone wirelessly, you can plug it in the cigarette lighter adaptor to prevent the battery from running flat because of active use of GPS.
Please note that you will need to keep the iPhone screen on while mirroring the data. If it locks, the mirroring will shut off, and you will need to reconnect the devices after you unlock your phone screen.
The table below outlines the steps to follow while using HUDWAY Cast app and without it.

Until recently, we've been using Airplay to wirelessly mirror the image from the smartphone to HUDWAY Cast. However, as starting iOS 12 the connection proved to be far from stable, we're switching to another means of mirroring — in simple terms, it records your screen and transmits it to HUDWAY Cast. 1. Power on HUDWAY Cast and press the switch mode button until you see the apple logo and the signature "Waiting to connect to an iOS device" on the HUDWAY Cast device screen: 2. Access your phone Settings > Wi-Fi and connect to HUDWAY-XXXXX network. 3. Pull up the Control Center panel from the bottom of your screen and long tap the Screen Recording button: 4. You'll see the apps you can broadcast through. Select HUDWAY Cast and tap Start Broadcast: The screen of your iPhone will be sent to HUDWAY Cast lens as is. Launch whatever navigation app you like (Waze, Gaode, Baidu, Google Maps, etc.) and rotate it to landscape or horizontal mode. |
